AI Use Policy

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

I am committed to maintaining transparency, ethical standards, and accountability in my use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies. This policy outlines This policy applies to all services offered by Michele Lefler, including but not limited to coaching packages, digital courses and programs, and speaking engagements. It covers both how I use AI in my own work and what I ask of the people I work with.

If you have questions about any of this, reach out before we begin working together.

Part 1: How I Use AI in My Work

1.1 Transparency About My AI Use

I use AI tools in parts of my work. This includes things like drafting content, research, administrative tasks, and organizing ideas. I want to be straightforward about that.

What I also want to be clear about: every piece of work I deliver to you has my eyes on it. I review, refine, and take responsibility for the final product. AI does not replace my judgment, my intuition, or my expertise.

1.2 What AI Is Not Doing in My Work

AI is not doing your reading or your intuitive work for you in a coaching context. It is not making decisions on your behalf. Anything where the human element is the whole point, that is still human.

1.3 Live Calls and AI Notetaking

I may use an AI-powered notetaking or transcription tool on our live calls (such as Fathom, Otter.ai, or a similar tool). If I do, I will let you know at the start of the call. Transcripts or notes generated this way are for my use in serving you better and are handled with the same confidentiality as any other session notes.

If you have concerns about AI transcription on a call, please tell me before we begin and we will find a workable solution.

1.4 Your Data and AI Tools

When AI tools are involved in my work, I handle your information carefully.

  • I do not share personally identifiable client information with AI systems beyond what is necessary to complete a specific task.
  • Where possible, I anonymize or minimize the data used.
  • I do not use your content or information to train AI models.
  • I am not responsible for the data practices of third-party AI platforms. You are welcome to ask me which tools I use, and I will tell you.

Part 2: What I Ask of You

These expectations apply to everyone I work with, across all services. They exist to protect the integrity of our work together, your results, and the creative and intellectual property that goes into what I deliver.

2.1 Intake and Assessment Materials

When you complete intake forms, questionnaires, or any discovery materials I send you, I need your actual responses. Please do not use AI tools to generate or substantially write your answers for you.

The whole point of those materials is for me to understand you. AI-generated responses undermine that and ultimately hurt your results. You may use voice-to-text or transcription tools to capture your spoken words, as long as the thinking behind them is yours.

2.2 Feedback on My Work

If you have feedback on something I have delivered, I want to hear it from you. Please do not submit my work to an AI tool and send me back AI-generated critiques or revision requests.

My creative and strategic decisions are intentional. AI-generated feedback often misses that context entirely and leads to revision cycles that do not actually serve you. You may use grammar or spell-check tools on written deliverables to catch typos.

2.3 Course and Program Materials

If you are enrolled in one of my courses or programs, the content I provide is not to be fed into AI tools for any purpose. This includes videos, transcripts, workbooks, templates, scripts, and anything shared in a community space or on a live call.

This applies to all of it, whether it lives on the course platform, came through email, or was shared verbally. Using my materials this way may constitute copyright infringement and is a breach of our agreement.

2.4 Live Calls and AI Notetakers

You may not use AI-powered notetaking, recording, or transcription tools on our live calls without my prior written consent. This protects the privacy of everyone on the call, including other participants in group settings, and protects the proprietary content I share.

If you want to capture notes from our calls, take them by hand or ask me what options are available.

2.5 My Deliverables and AI Modification

Please do not run any deliverable I create for you through AI tools to alter, edit, stylize, or rewrite it without my written consent. This includes AI image editing, generative fill, style transfer, or any AI-powered modification of visual or written work.

If you want something changed, ask me. That is what revisions are for.

2.6 No AI Training on My Work

Nothing I deliver to you may be used to train, fine-tune, or otherwise develop an AI model. This applies regardless of whether the deliverable has been published. You are licensed to use my work as outlined in our agreement. That license does not extend to AI training purposes.

2.7 Assets You Provide to Me

If you submit assets to me as part of our work together, such as logos, designs, or other materials, please disclose upfront if any of them were generated using AI tools. I will not knowingly use AI-generated assets in my work without understanding what I am working with.

If you provide assets and that disclosure is incomplete or false, I reserve the right to end our working relationship. Deposits and payments made would not be refunded, as my time and resources will have already been spent.

Part 3: Speaking Engagements

This section applies to event organizers who book me as a speaker.

You may not use photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, or any other captured depiction of me as input into any AI tool. This includes AI image generation, video or audio synthesis, transcription or summarization tools processing my recorded presentation, or any platform used to train an AI model.

You may not grant third parties permission to use my likeness or recorded content for any of those purposes. Any use of my likeness or recorded content beyond standard event promotion requires my separate written consent before it happens.

Part 4: Limitations and Accountability

4.1 AI Is Not Professional Advice

If I make any AI tools available to you as part of a program or service, those tools are supplemental resources. They do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or any other licensed professional advice. AI-generated outputs can contain errors. I am not liable for decisions you make based on those outputs.

4.2 Human Oversight

I maintain human oversight on all AI-assisted work I deliver. If you notice an error or something that does not seem right, please tell me. I take that seriously.

4.3 This Policy Will Evolve

AI is moving fast. My practices and this policy will be updated as needed to stay in line with ethical standards and what actually serves the people I work with. The effective date at the top reflects the most current version.
