Special Collections: Guest Librarian Opportunities

Retro 1960s-inspired library scene featuring the words “Special Collections” in cream serif lettering on a deep green geometric sign, with the tagline “Curated Knowledge. Real Transformation.” Surrounded by colorful vintage books, a card catalog, leafy plant, and green library lamp in warm cream, olive, mustard, rust, and teal tones.

What are Special Collections?

Special Collections are a series of curated learning experiences—not a bundle, not a summit, but something more intentional.

Rather than gathering a large pile of unrelated resources around a broad topic, each Special Collection event is organized around a single theme and unfolds over four themed days, like walking through the halls of a library where every room has been placed on purpose.

Each day opens a new section of the collection and introduces a small group of Guest Librarians whose presentations fit that day’s focus. As the Head Librarian, I open each day with a short introduction that frames the theme and invites participants to explore with curiosity.

I’m Michele Lefler, Your Head Librarian & Guide

You’ve found your way to a different kind of space—one where intuition, strategy, and spirit meet to help you chart your next steps with clarity and confidence. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all answers. I do believe in helping you uncover your own truth, your own rhythm, and your own map forward.

Whether you’re standing at a crossroads, refining your vision, or simply ready to reconnect with the deeper parts of yourself, I’m here to walk beside you. Together, we’ll sort through what no longer fits, strengthen what lights you up, and plot a course that feels aligned with who you’re becoming.

What to Expect as a Guest Librarian

I keep things simple, respectful of your time, and organized behind the scenes—so you can focus on sharing your offer and connecting with new people.

Here’s how it works when you join a Special Collections event:

Step 1: Apply

Each collection has a clear theme, four sub-collections, and an intended audience. I review every application for content fit and overall alignment—not just the topic, but the values behind it. This protects the integrity of the collection and ensures a great experience for Guest Librarians and attendees alike.

Step 2: Get Accepted & Submit Your Materials

If accepted, you’ll submit one pre-recorded presentation (10–30 minutes) and one accompanying resource, along with your bio, headshot, product graphic, resource link, and a website or social link. Submission deadlines are firm. Materials submitted after the deadline can’t be included.

Step 3: Get Your Promo Kit

Ahead of the event, you’ll receive promotional graphics, suggested email copy, and social media content to make sharing easy for both the waitlist period and the live event. I don’t police how or how often you promote—you know your audience. I do ask that you actively support the event; when it succeeds, everyone benefits.

If you know you’ll be mid-launch, on a planned break, or otherwise unable to promote, most collections offer an alternative way to participate. Full details on promotional expectations and options are included in the Guest Librarian Guide once you’re accepted.

Step 4: The Collection Opens

Each day’s presentations unlock at 9:00 AM Eastern and remain available for 24 hours before returning to the archives. There are no free replays. Attendees who want more time can purchase Continued Access for lifetime access to every presentation and extended access to Guest Librarian resources.

Step 5: Build Your List

As attendees opt in to your resource directly, you’ll grow your own email list. You won’t receive a master list of every participant—only those who choose your resource.
