Grief doesn’t follow the rules they told you it would.
And you don’t have to grieve the way anyone else tells you to.
I know grief from the inside.
I lost my husband. I live with childlessness. I have buried a parent, stood beside friends in their worst hours, and held the quiet ache of dreams that will never arrive in the form I imagined.
Grief has shaped me more than anything else in my life. Not broken me — shaped me. There is a difference, though it took me years to feel it.
I am not a grief expert who learned this from a textbook. I am a woman who has had to find her way through the dark, again and again, and who has built a life — a whole, meaningful, spiritual life — inside the truth of what loss does to a person.
That is what I bring when I sit with you.

THE GRIEF YOU MIGHT BE CARRYING
Grief is not only death — though it includes that.
Grief is the husband or wife who is no longer here. The children who never came. The parent you are learning to live without. The life you imagined that quietly stopped being possible. The dream you had to set down. The version of yourself you can no longer be.
All of it is real. All of it deserves to be witnessed.
Disenfranchised grief — the kind the world doesn’t always make room for, the kind people don’t send flowers for — is often the heaviest to carry, because you carry it alone.
You don’t have to carry it alone.
WHAT I OFFER
I show up for grieving people in four ways — as companion, doula, educator, and coach. Not everyone needs all four. Some people need one. You’ll know which one is calling you.
Grief Support Companion
For those who are navigating loss of any kind and need a steady, compassionate presence to walk beside them. Sessions that are unhurried, unscripted, and entirely yours. This is not therapy and it is not advice — it is sacred accompaniment from someone who has walked her own long road through grief and knows how to sit in the dark without flinching.
Death Doula
For those approaching the end of life, or for those walking alongside someone who is. I help create meaning, ease, and intention around dying and death — for the one leaving and for those who will remain. Death is not a failure. It is a threshold, and it deserves to be met with presence and care.
Educator
Grief is misunderstood in our culture — rushed, minimized, pathologized, and made invisible. I work to change that through workshops, webinars, and writing. If you want to understand grief more deeply — your own or someone else’s — there is always something to learn here. Much of it is free. All of it is honest.
Coach
Sometimes grief is the doorway into a larger reckoning — with who you are, what you want, and what kind of life you are building in the aftermath of loss. Coaching holds grief without being limited by it. Whether you are navigating a life transition, a spiritual unraveling, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, coaching is for the person who is ready to move — not on from grief, but forward within it.
The Full Story
When my husband died in 2011, I didn’t know how to be a person anymore.
I knew the practical things — the paperwork, the casseroles people brought, the way time kept moving when I desperately wanted it to stop. What I didn’t know was how long grief would last, how many forms it would take, or how much of myself I would have to rebuild.
What I also didn’t know then was that I was already living another grief beneath that one. The grief of a life without children. Not something that happened in a single moment, but something I slowly came to understand about my life — and had to find a way to make peace with, on my own terms, without a roadmap.
And then there were the other losses. My parent. The futures I had imagined. The versions of me that didn’t make it through.
Grief stacks. It compounds. It comes back when you think you’ve moved through it, wearing a different face.
What saved me — what continues to save me — is ritual. Presence. Spiritual practice. The willingness to be with the grief rather than outrun it. The ancestors and the unseen. The body that knows what the mind cannot yet hold.
I built a practice around this not because I had all the answers, but because I kept needing it myself.
If you are in it right now — the thick of it, the confusing middle of it, the quiet chronic ache of it — I built this work for you. And I built it from the inside.
Wherever you are in your grief — raw and reeling, quietly surviving, or somewhere in the long middle — there is a place for you here. Take what you need. Come back when you’re ready for more.
